The Honourable Commissioner for Youth Affairs, Osun State, Hon. Olagunju Moshood Olalekan, has called on the youths of Osun State to remain steadfast in their support for His Excellency, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, and to actively participate in the forthcoming governorship election by voting massively for his re-election.
Speaking as the state counts down to the August 15 governorship election, Hon. Olagunju commended the resilience, commitment, and unwavering loyalty demonstrated by Osun youths for Governor Adeleke's administration and re-election.
He noted that despite sustained political distractions and provocations from the opposition, the youths have remained resolute in their belief in the Governor's visionary leadership and people-centred governance.
"Your support has been instrumental to the remarkable achievements recorded by this administration. Your steadfastness and confidence in Governor Ademola Adeleke's leadership continue to inspire hope for a greater Osun," he said.
The Commissioner emphasized that Governor Adeleke's administration has consistently placed young people at the centre of governance through deliberate policies and programmes aimed at empowering, employing and developing the youth. He cited initiatives such as the Imole Youth Corps, youth empowerment schemes, employment opportunities, entrepreneurship support, and increased youth participation in governance as clear evidence of the Governor's commitment to building a prosperous future for the younger generation.
According to him, the continuation of these transformative programmes depends on the re-election of Governor Adeleke for a second term.
"Governor Ademola Adeleke has demonstrated an uncommon commitment to youth development and inclusive governance. His administration has created opportunities for young people to contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of Osun State. It is therefore our collective responsibility to consolidate these achievements by ensuring his re-election," he stated.
Hon. Olagunju urged all eligible youths across the state to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and turn out in large numbers on Saturday, August 15, to cast their votes for Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke.
He expressed confidence that the overwhelming support of the people, particularly the youths, would translate into a resounding victory at the polls.
"As we approach election day, I encourage every young person to remain peaceful, law-abiding, and committed to the democratic process. Let us once again demonstrate that the youths of Osun are united in their resolve to sustain good governance, inclusive leadership, and accelerated development.
"Together, we shall secure another victory for Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke and ensure the continuity of the remarkable progress our dear state is witnessing."
