GOVERNOR ADELEKE OPENS 2025 NYSC BATCH ‘C’ ORIENTATION CAMP IN EDE, OSUN STATE
At the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Governor Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke officially opened the 2025 Batch ‘C’ Orientation Course, accompanied by the State Commissioner for Youth Affairs, Hon. Olagunju Moshood Olalekan, who represented the governor.

Adeleke extended a warm welcome to the newly inducted corps members, including those relocated from Lagos State, and praised the NYSC scheme as “an actual platform for promoting national integration, unity, and youth development.”

He urged the graduates to see themselves as ambassadors of a united Nigeria rather than mere indigenes of their states.

The governor highlighted the scheme’s impact on skills acquisition, community development, and moral reorientation, noting that Osun State will continue to provide a safe, conducive, and adequately resourced camp environment. He called on corps members to fully engage in camp activities, especially the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development program, to build self‑reliance after service.

In a direct appeal, Adeleke warned against “distractions and negative influences that may derail your focus,” urging integrity, humility, and diligence in all conduct. He reminded the corps that the NYSC uniform “represents honor, service, and national pride” and should be worn with dignity.

Hon. Olagunju Moshood Olalekan, standing in for the governor, highlighted the state’s commitment to supporting the NYSC scheme and ensuring the safety of corps members throughout their service year.

The 2025 Batch ‘C’ orientation runs from 19 November to 9 December 2025, with the swearing‑in ceremony held on 21 November 2025. NYSC management has assured comprehensive security and welfare measures, including the provision of water, biscuits, and sanitary pads for female participants.

The event concluded with a call to all stakeholders, security agencies, host communities, transport unions, and employers to nurture a generation of youths who will build bridges of peace, productivity, and progress for Nigeria.
