The Osun State Polytechnic,Ire Students' Union Government (SUG) Caretaker Committee, led by Olabiyi Ajoke Deborah, has honored the Commissioner for Youth Affairs in Osun State, Hon. Olagunju Moshood Olalekan, with a Merit of Recognition Award on Monday, September 29, 2025. This prestigious award acknowledges the Commissioner's outstanding contributions to the students' community.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on 'O' Signage ,Hon. Ridwan Ayofe unveiled that Hon. Olagunju has consistently demonstrated his commitment to empowering Osun State's youth through various initiatives, including skill acquisition programs and job creation schemes.
He also said ,he has promoted youth inclusion in governance, providing platforms for young people to showcase their potential and contribute to decision-making processes.
The National Association of Nigerian Students, Southwest General Secretary Committee, Comrade Oluwole Olutunde Aboke commended Hon. Olagunju Moshood Olalekan for his tireless efforts in fostering a positive and conducive environment for students to thrive.
The award however, serves as proof of his exceptional leadership and vision for the youth of Osun State as the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Imọlẹ Youth Corps, Hon. Famokunwa Stephen, Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Affairs, Hon. Abdulmajeed Oyeniyi, Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Mobilization Hon Ojo Raymond, and other special dignitaries.
