As political activities gather momentum ahead of the 2026 Osun State Governorship Election, the Honourable Commissioner for Youth Affairs, Osun State, Hon. Olagunju Moshood Olalekan, has charged the youths of the state to remain steadfast in preserving the peace and stability of Osun, while refusing to be used by desperate politicians as agents of violence, intimidation, or electoral malpractice.
Hon. Olagunju stressed that the administration of Governor Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke has redefined governance in Osun State through unprecedented investments in infrastructure, youth development, education, healthcare, workers' welfare, rural development, and other people-oriented initiatives that have positively impacted lives across the state.
According to the Commissioner, Governor Adeleke's achievements are visible in every part of Osun State and have earned him the confidence, trust, and overwhelming support of the people. He described the Governor as a visionary, compassionate, and performing leader whose administration has restored public confidence in governance and positioned Osun on a path of sustainable growth and development.
The Commissioner called on youths across all local government areas to remain vigilant, conduct themselves peacefully, and participate actively in the democratic process. He urged them to reject every attempt to incite violence or disrupt the electoral process, emphasizing that peace remains the foundation for meaningful development.
"The future of Osun belongs to our youths, and it is our collective responsibility to protect it. I urge every young person to remain law-abiding, defend the peace of our dear state, and come out in their numbers to support the re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke so that the remarkable developmental strides currently being enjoyed across Osun can be sustained and expanded. Let us reject violence, embrace unity, and vote massively for continuity, progress, and prosperity."
