As preparations intensify for the August 15, 2026 governorship election in Osun State, the Osun State Commissioner for Youth Affairs, Hon. Olagunju Moshood Olalekan, has reaffirmed his unwavering support for the re-election of Governor Senator Dr. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke (Imole), describing him as a visionary and transformational leader whose administration has brought renewed hope and unprecedented development to the state.
The Commissioner stated that Governor Adeleke’s administration has continued to deliver remarkable dividends of democracy across critical sectors of the economy within less than four years in office. According to him, the government has recorded significant achievements in youth empowerment, infrastructure development, workers’ welfare, education, healthcare, agriculture, and digital innovation.
Hon. Olagunju emphasized that Governor Adeleke’s people-centered leadership style has earned him widespread admiration and acceptance among residents across Osun State. He noted that the administration has restored public confidence in governance through transparency, accountability, responsiveness, and purposeful leadership.
He further explained that the government’s massive investment in road construction, rehabilitation of schools and healthcare facilities, prompt payment of salaries and pensions, as well as various youth-focused initiatives, has positioned Osun State on the path of sustainable growth and economic advancement.
The Commissioner particularly commended Governor Adeleke for prioritizing youth development through several technology-driven programmes, empowerment schemes, and employment opportunities designed to improve the future of young people across the state. He described the Governor as “a listening and compassionate leader who understands the aspirations of the youth and remains committed to their progress and well-being.”
Speaking on the administration’s developmental blueprint, Hon. Olagunju highlighted the upgraded Five-Point Agenda of the Adeleke-led administration, which focuses on citizens’ welfare, infrastructure consolidation, agro-industrial expansion, affordable healthcare and education, as well as creating a conducive business environment that promotes investment and job creation.
The Youth Affairs Commissioner therefore called on the people of Osun State, particularly the youths, to remain steadfast and united in their support for Governor Adeleke ahead of the forthcoming governorship election. He stressed that continuity of the current administration would guarantee greater development, inclusive governance, and sustained economic prosperity for all residents of the state.
According to him, the 2026 governorship election presents another opportunity for the people of Osun State to consolidate on the achievements already recorded under Governor Adeleke’s leadership, whom he described as “a symbol of progress, compassion, and people-oriented governance.”
“Governor Ademola Adeleke has demonstrated competence, capacity, and genuine compassion in leadership. The people of Osun State have seen remarkable progress under his administration, and by the grace of God, the journey toward greater prosperity and sustainable development will continue beyond 2026,” the Commissioner stated.
Hon. Olagunju concluded by assuring Governor Adeleke of the unwavering loyalty and continued support of youths across Osun State, expressing strong confidence that the people of the state would overwhelmingly renew the Governor’s mandate at the polls on August 15, 2026.
