OSUN STATE COMMISSIONER FOR YOUTH AFFAIRS, HON. OLAGUNJU MOSHOOD OLALEKAN, LEADS 'WALK TO LIVE' AT OLOJO 2025 FESTIVAL IN ILE-IFE.
Hon. Olagunju Moshood Olalekan, Commissioner for Youth Affairs in Osun State, not only declared the 'Walk to Live' event open but also actively participated in the walk, leading by example at Ooni's Palace, Enuwa Square, Ile-Ife, on Thursday as part of the Olojo 2025 Festival celebrations.
 
‎The 'Walk to Live' initiative, organized by Hope Alive Initiative (HAI) in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs, saw participants taking to the streets to promote physical fitness and well-being through walking. The event underscored the importance of exercise for both physical and mental health.
Commissioner Olalekan, speaking at the event, emphasized the crucial role of youth in preserving the cultural heritage of Osun State. "Our youth are culture's future keepers. They must know and value our traditions," he said.
 
‎Joining the walk alongside the Commissioner were his aides and other political appointees, who are as follows: Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Mobilization, Hon. Ojo Raymond; Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Affairs, Hon. Abdulmajeed Oyeniyi; Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth and Strategic Engagement, Hon. Babawale Jamiu Popoola; and Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Mobilization, Hon. Oyewale Segun, demonstrating government support for the initiative as well as the Imį»lįŗ¹ youth corps beneficiaries
 
‎Notable attendees included Her Royal Majesty Ambassador Dr. Temitope Enitan Ogunwusi. The Commissioner appreciated the collaboration and support from the Osun State Government, led by Governor Senator Dr. Ademola Adeleke, for youth and cultural development initiatives.
 
‎The Olojo 2025 Festival, a significant cultural event marking the "Day of the First Dawn" in Yoruba tradition, showcases Ile-Ife's rich heritage and aims to promote community unity and tourism. Participants at the 'Walk to Live' celebrated not just health but also tradition, music, dance, and local cuisine, highlighting the blend of culture and wellness in the community event.
 
‎The celebration reflects ongoing efforts in Osun State to promote youth engagement, cultural preservation, and healthy living.
