The Honourable Commissioner for Youth Affairs, Osun State, Hon. Olagunju Moshood Olalekan, has emphasized that the re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke represents a critical pathway to consolidating the administration’s transformative achievements in youth development, education, and social welfare.
According to the Commissioner, the Adeleke-led government has redefined governance in Osun State through a people-centered and youth-inclusive approach that prioritizes opportunity, empowerment, and sustainable growth.
He noted that young people across the state are now more actively engaged in governance and development processes than ever before.
Hon. Olagunju highlighted the administration’s landmark youth empowerment drive, particularly the Imole Youth Corps programme, which has empowered over 10,000 youths with skills, employment opportunities, and economic support. He described the initiative as a bold response to unemployment and a catalyst for innovation and productivity among the youth population.
In the education sector, he pointed to the strategic recruitment of qualified teachers that are youths as a major intervention that has strengthened the quality of learning in public schools while also creating meaningful employment for graduates.
The Commissioner further commended Governor Adeleke’s commitment to student welfare, noting that deliberate policies and strategic partnerships have fostered a more enabling and supportive environment for academic excellence across the state.
He also cited the prompt rehabilitation of the NYSC orientation camp facilities damaged by a windstorm as a clear demonstration of responsive leadership and a strong commitment to the safety and well-being of corps members serving in Osun State.

Additionally, Hon. Olagunju referenced the donation of buses to key student organizations, including the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and the National Association of Osun State Students (NAOSS), describing the gesture as a practical intervention that has eased transportation challenges and strengthened institutional engagement with student bodies.
“These achievements are clear, measurable, and people-driven. They reflect a leadership that understands the aspirations of young people and is committed to delivering real results,” he stated.
Hon. Olagunju concluded by calling on all youths and stakeholders across Osun State to rally behind Governor Ademola Adeleke’s second-term bid, stressing that continuity is essential to sustaining progress, deepening reforms, and securing a more prosperous future for all.
