Olagunju Moshood Olalekan, Commissioner for Youth Affairs, Osun State, has empowered the daughters of Owolabi Adenike, a food hawker. The Commissioner, who encountered Adenike and her daughter on the road, was moved by their story and decided to intervene.
Adenike's daughter, Owolabi Jumoke, has been learning fashion design but lacked the means to acquire a sewing machine for three years.Commissioner Olagunju's timely intervention has brought relief to the family, providing Jumoke with the essential tool to pursue her passion.
Adenike, who revealed that she is the last wife of an elderly man expressed heartfelt gratitude was for the Commissioner's kindness. "I'm overwhelmed with joy and gratitude. I didn't expect this, especially from a politician I don't know," she said.
The Commissioner's kindness doesn't end there. He has promised to sponsor Owolabi Olaide's hair styling course, covering her school fees. Adenike prayed for the success of Governor Adeleke's administration, commending the Governor's commitment to empowering the people. "We're grateful for the Governor's good works. May God bless and reward Commissioner Olagunju for his kindness," she added.
