COMMISSIONER FOR YOUTH AFFAIRS, HON. OLAGUNJU MOSHOOD OLALEKAN GRACES COMMISSIONING OF ISIAKA ADETUNJI ADELEKE LEADERSHIP CENTRE

The Honourable Commissioner for Youth Affairs in Osun State, Hon. Olagunju Moshood Olalekan tody, April 23rd, 2025, at Adeleke University, Ede, graced the event of the grand commissioning of the Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke Leadership Centre built in remembrance of the late former Governor of Osun State, Sen. Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke.


The event, which was held within the serene campus of Adeleke University, was graced by the Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator (Dr.) Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, who is also the younger brother of the late Sen. Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke. 


The commissioning marks an important moment in the history of Osun State, as it was not only served as an official unveiling of the centre dedicated to grooming future leaders but also as a solemn commemoration of the 8th anniversary of the late Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke, who was the first civilian governor of the state.


 Hon. Olagunju Moshood Olalekan uncovers the importance of visionary leadership in nation-building and underscores the critical role that young people could play in shaping the future. He further described the late Senator Adeleke as a ground breaker whose legacy in governance and community development continue to inspire people.


“This centre stands as a symbol of excellence, vision, and the unrelenting commitment of a man who believed in the potential of young people. It is only fitting that his memory is immortalized in a structure that will inspire and equip emerging leaders,” Hon. Olagunju unveils.


The Leadership Centre was commissioned by his Excellency, Governor Ademola Adeleke in the name of his late brother, it's expected to function as a hub for leadership development, civic engagement, and youth empowerment programs, aligning with the values championed by the late senator during his lifetime.


The centre was generously donated by the member of the House of Representatives, representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo Federal Constituency. The commissioning drew the presence of numerous political dignitaries, traditional rulers, stakeholders in youth and education sectors in the state and the members of the Adeleke's family.
