On Friday, November 29,2024, Hon. Olagunju Moshood Olalekan, the Commissioner for Youth Affairs, represented His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, at the swearing-in and official opening ceremony of the 2024 Batch 'C' Stream 1  Orientation Course for corps members at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Ede.

 In the address of his Excellency read by Hon. Olagunju Moshood Olalekan, Governor Adeleke welcomed the new corps members, acknowledging their dedication and commitment to national service. He congratulated them on their successful call-up and emphasized the importance of their role in nation-building.

"The National Pledge and the NYSC Oath of Allegiance symbolize our allegiance to the nation and our dedication to upholding its values and principles," Governor Adeleke stated. He urged the corps members to take these pledges seriously as they embark on their service year, highlighting their vital role in the unity, peace, and progress of Nigeria.

Governor Adeleke assured the corps members of the government's commitment to their security and welfare throughout the service year. "Actions have been put in place to safeguard your well-being, and we urge you to avail yourselves of the support systems provided," he said.

Commending the NYSC management at both national and state levels, Governor Adeleke praised their tireless efforts in organizing the orientation course and overseeing the program's successful implementation. He also expressed gratitude to the people of Osun State for their hospitality and support in creating a conducive environment for the corps members.

In his concluding remarks, Governor Adeleke, through the Commissioner, wished the corps members a successful and rewarding service year, filled with meaningful friendships and opportunities for personal growth. He then officially declared the 2024 Batch 'C' Stream I Orientation Course open.

The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, officials, and the corps members themselves, who expressed enthusiasm and readiness to contribute to the development and unity of Nigeria during their service year.
