GOVERNOR ADELEKE'S YOUTH FOCUS HIGHLIGHTED AS COMMISSIONER FOR YOUTH AFFAIRS, HON. OLAGUNJU MOSHOOD OLALEKAN, MEETS WITH JCI NIGERIA LEADERS

The Honourable Commissioner for Youth Affairs, Osun State, Honourable Olagunju Moshood Olalekan (OMO), recently welcomed representatives from Junior Chamber International,Nigeria Collegiate for a significant courtesy visit. The collegiate organization extended a formal invitation and a request for partnership in their highly anticipated 2025 JCI Nigeria Collegiate Conference, scheduled to be held from July 3rd to 6th.


During the meeting, JCINigeria Collegiate Chairperson, Amira Abdullahi, lauded the Commissioner's dedication to youth empowerment, a sentiment echoed by Collegiate Vice Chairperson of the Southwest, Josephine Orimogunje, who stated, "Hon. Olagunju is a youth at heart, and as the Honourable Commissioner for Youth Affairs is doing well with young people, we want to be part of it." Amina Abdullahi further emphasized the Commissioner's accessibility and youth-friendly approach.


The Special Assistant to the Osun Governor on Youth Mobilization, Honourable Segun Oyewale, also present at the meeting, described Honourable Olagunju as a "youthful and useful Commissioner."


In response to the request, Honourable Commissioner Olagunju expressed strong support for the initiatives of JCINigeria Collegiate. He affirmed the commitment of Governor Ademola Adeleke's administration to youth development, stating, "We recognize the significant contributions of organizations like JCINigeria Collegiate in shaping our future leaders, and under the dynamic leadership of His Excellency, Governor Ademola Adeleke, we are committed to fostering partnerships that empower our youth. We will certainly explore avenues to support your upcoming 2025 conference."


The courtesy visit saw the participation of key figures from JCINigeria Collegiate, including Ileladewa Ademidun, Director of Communications; Adekunle Daniel, Director of Welfare; Adewuyi Omotola, Member; Godwin Bright, Immediate Past President, JCIN Federal Polytechnic Ede; Falope Oluwafunmike, PA to the Collegiate Chairperson; and Matti Pelumi of JCIN Fountain University. The meeting concluded with a mutual understanding and a positive outlook for a collaborative partnership.
