The Governor of Osun State, His Excellency Governor Ademola Adeleke, has formally inaugurated the newly constituted National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Governing Board, with Hon. Olagunju Moshood Olalekan, the Osun State Commissioner for Youth Affairs, appointed as its chairman.

The inauguration took place at the Ministry of Youth Affairs in Abeere, Osun State, and was attended by key officials, including Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Affairs, Hon. Aare Abdulmajeed Oyeniyi; Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youth Affairs, Mrs. Taiwo Oladunjoye; Osun State NYSC Coordinator, Mr. Agbor Ndoma; NYSC Southwest Director, Area Office 1, Mrs Olubukola Abiodun; NYSC Members of Staff; Directors of the ministry; security personnel from the state; corp members and other dignitaries

In his inaugural address, Hon. Olagunju Moshood Olalekan expressed his gratitude to Governor Adeleke for his commitment to the advancement of the NYSC program in Osun State, particularly his focus on the welfare of corps members. He highlighted the Governor's prompt response to the recent storm damage at the Osun NYSC camp, noting that immediate renovations would be undertaken to restore the facilities.

Hon. Olagunju also congratulated the members of the newly inaugurated NYSC Governing Board, urging them to fulfil their responsibilities with dedication and integrity. He emphasized the importance of unity, selflessness, and a commitment to the welfare of the corps members, which he described as the core purpose of the NYSC program.

In conclusion, Hon. Olagunju Moshood Olalekan encouraged the new board members to work collaboratively in the spirit of unity and to prioritize the overall well-being of the youth in the NYSC program.
