We are pleased to announce the launch and resumption of the Imole Youth Corps initiative, a strategic program designed by His Excellency, Governor Ademola Adeleke, to empower the youth through the Office of the Osun State Commissioner for Youth Affairs, Hon. Olagunju Moshood Olalekan, and provide support to key sectors of the state government, specifically in Education, Health, and Environmental Sectors.
The
selection process for the Imole Youth Corps members was based on their academic qualifications and areas of specialization. These criteria were carefully considered when assigning them to their respective areas of primary assignment, ensuring that each beneficiary is placed where their skills and qualifications can be most effectively utilized.
All beneficiaries of the Imole Youth Corps underwent a thorough selection process, including seminars, lectures, and orientations led by directors from the three relevant ministries. This preparatory process ensured they were fully equipped for their roles within the government.
The deployment of the Imole Youth Corps will primarily support three critical sectors, with the following allocation:
1. Education - 19.43% of beneficiaries with qualifications in Education, such as B. Ed and NCE holders, have been assigned to the Education sector.
2. Health – 2.51% of Graduates beneficiaries from University, Polytechnic and Monotechnic institutions have been posted to the Health sector.
3. Environment – 78.06% of Other beneficiaries have been deployed to the Environmental sector based on their qualification.
These deployment strategies were created to guarantee that each beneficiary's qualifications are acknowledged and that their contributions meet particular needs in these sectors. Despite the high unemployment rate among recent graduates, Governor Ademola Adeleke is unwavering in his resolve to give young people opportunities through the Imole Youth Corps program.
The successful implementation of this initiative is a significant step towards achieving broader goals, such as the recruitment of teachers. Governor Ademola Adeleke, a dedicated advocate for youth development, is actively working to create sustainable opportunities for the youth in Osun State.
However, we encourage all youth to continue placing their trust in this administration, as there are numerous opportunities for growth and development under the leadership of Governor Ademola Adeleke.
