IMOLE YOUTH CORPS SCHEME INAUGURATION SET FOR FEBRUARY 6, 2025

The Commissioner for Youth Affairs in Osun State, Hon. Olagunju Moshood Olalekan, popularly known as "OMO," has announced that the inauguration of the Imole Youth Corps Scheme will take place on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Freedom Park, Osogbo. This initiative is a key part of the developmental agenda under the administration of Senator Dr. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, the Executive Governor of Osun State.

Hon. Olagunju, in his address, praised Governor Adeleke for his visionary leadership and outstanding achievements, describing him as "the best-performing governor in the world." He highlighted the importance of the scheme, which aims to empower the youth of Osun State by engaging them in meaningful community development and skill-building activities.

The Commissioner urged the beneficiaries to approach this opportunity with dedication and professionalism, emphasizing that this could be the stepping stone to greater opportunities. He also encouraged those who were unable to meet the prerequisites for this phase to remain hopeful, assuring them that the Adeleke administration is committed to rolling out more empowerment initiatives shortly.

“Governor Adeleke is passionate about youth empowerment and is determined to transform Osun State into a hub of development and innovation,” Olagunju said.

He also called on all residents, especially the youth, to continue supporting the governor's administration, assuring them that the state’s growth and development are priorities for the government.

Before the inauguration, the 31 Imole Youth Corps local government coordinators will be provided with kits to distribute among the beneficiaries in their respective local government areas, ensuring an equitable rollout of resources to support the program's objectives.

The Imole Youth Corps Scheme inauguration is expected to draw a large audience, including government officials, community leaders, and youth representatives from across the state.
