In a proactive move to foster greater collaboration and synergy, the Osun State Ministry of Youth Affairs today hosted a significant collaborative meeting with the Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Osun State Command, and the leadership of various prominent youth organizations in the state.
The Honourable Commissioner for Youth Affairs highlighted that, under the leadership of Governor Ademola Adeleke, the Osun Government is committed to fostering partnerships for youth development and security. Discussions focused on enhanced collaboration in key areas.
Key attendees included the Special Adviser on Security, Special Assistants on Youth Affairs and Mobilization, the SSA on CSOs, and representatives from the Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC) and the Osun Youth Coalition.
Also in attendance were key government officials, including the Special Adviser on Security, who reiterated the government’s unwavering focus on ensuring the safety and security of all citizens, including the youth. The Special Assistant on Youth Affairs, the Special Assistant on Youth Mobilization, and the Senior Special Assistant on Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) actively participated in the discussions, lending their expertise and insights.
Representing the vibrant youth landscape of Osun State were the Chairman of the Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC), Osun State Chapter, and the Spokesperson of the Osun Youth Coalition among others. Their presence underscored the commitment of youth leadership to actively participate in governance and collaborate with relevant agencies for the betterment of the state.
This collaborative meeting marks a significant step towards a more integrated and effective approach to youth development and youth-friendly security in Osun State, demonstrating the government’s dedication to working hand-in-hand with young people and security agencies for the collective progress of the state.
