The Commissioner for Youth Affairs, Osun State, Hon. Olagunju Moshood Olalekan, held his first official meeting with the newly elected executives of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Osun State Chapter, today at his office.
The meeting followed the NYCN congress, which was held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Osogbo Grammar School Hall, Osogbo, Osun State.
Mrs. Taiwo Olajumoke, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Youth Affairs, attended the meeting, which took place at the Osun State Secretariat, Abere, alongside all NYCN executive members. During the session, the executives were formally introduced to the commissioner.
In his address, Hon. Olagunju emphasized the importance of teamwork and unity among the newly inaugurated leaders, urging them to work collaboratively for a successful tenure.
“You are going to have disagreements and differences; it is bound to happen, but you should all settle them amicably,” Olagunju advised.
He also encouraged them to conduct their activities peacefully, remain diligent, and support the administration of Governor Senator Dr. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke in advancing youth development in Osun State.
