Hon. Olagunju Moshood Olalekan, the Osun State Commissioner for Youth Affairs, has called on the people of Osun State to come out en masse on Saturday, February 22, 2025, to exercise their franchise in the local government election.

He assured residents that security operatives would be on the ground to ensure a peaceful, free, and fair electoral process.

Speaking to residents of Boluwaduro, Hon. Olagunju emphasized Governor Senator (Dr.) Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke's commitment to protecting lives and maintaining order.

Hon. Olagunju disclosed that these violent acts were reportedly aimed at forcefully taking over local government Secretariat and disrupting the forthcoming election.

He reassured residents that, despite these challenges, the election would hold as planned. "By the grace of God, the election will take place, and no one will stop it," he declared.

The commissioner urged all eligible voters in Osun State to actively participate in the election, assuring them that adequate security measures had been put in place to ensure their safety. He reaffirmed that the electoral process would be conducted in a transparent and fair manner, emphasizing the importance of civic engagement in strengthening democracy.
